Ahlan Ramadhan
First of all, I would like to wish all fellow Muslims, "Ramadhan Mubarak", may your amal and worship during this month of Ramadhan be better than last year.
Although during the month of Ramadhan one should not let laziness creep in, but for this time and in my future weblogs, I would like to provide links to articles on the net that says what I was/am thinking or those I found interesting and thought provoking. Heyyy, they articulate it much better than myself and I don't see the point to expend energy on repeating things.
Here's an article on Ramadhan that I found very interesting and true, "Capturing the True Spirit of Ramadan" by Khaled Al Maeena. The site has a lot of interesting articles, hope you can find time to browse through them.
The PM is retired, long live the PM
As you all may have already know Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has retired from his post as Prime Minister of Malaysia on 31 October 2003.
I wrote a speech for my boss which includes my feelings on Dr. M's retirement about a month ago, you can find excerpts in the article "Mahathir decision a blow to all, says new envoy", although the title of the article does defeat the purpose and goes against the main thrust of the speech, well you know the caveat on the things you read.
This is a picture of me and Dr. M. I asked somebody to snap this picture while I snuck into a nice position for a candid look, although you can see I am posing for it.
This one is a picture of me and the new Prime Minister, although he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs when the picture was taken. Funny thing is I didn't know it was him beside me when the picture was taken. I was in the middle of cheering on my team in my office family day tug-o-war competition, I guess my adrenaline was high and I was too engrossed in the proceedings. All I remember was that someone was beside me cheering on also. I only found out it was him when I received the pictures from our office photographer. True story, I kid you not.
I have rarely received feedback on my lamentations here, so if you care to give your comment, I would be glad to receive any on my webpage guestbook or you can also e-mail me. I would also welcome any greetings or questions.
Until then or whenever, see you on the spins side...
