Of spectacular weekends and aching muscles...

I asked a friend whether she had a good weekend and she said the usual, nothing spectacular. I asked her if it must be spectacular, she said "of course". Well, I had a pretty good weekend, although I don't consider it spectacular.

Lesse. Friday night. I was invited to attend a birthday party at Cynna, Asian Heritage Row. Don't particularly like the place, but it's a friends party, so I went. Had an okay time. Enjoyed my time more downstairs watching DBKL rounding up the food stalls on the street. I also bumped into my colleague Anuar and his wife. They are going to Bahrain. So, had the chance to say farewell and good luck.

Saturday, went with my housemate to meet Rashidin for lunch at KDE and he invited me to have a game of golf on Sunday at IOI Marriott. I decided to join even though it has been about 1 1/2 years since I last played.

Saturday evening, stayed at home to watch football, Liverpool won against Everton even though Stevie G was red carded on the 18th minute. after that took my golf clubs from my aunties place. Checked it. Haven't gone through my clubs for a long while. Just like meeting an old friend.

Sunday... had an early day. Woke up around 6 in the morning to get ready for the golf game. Rashidin picked me up at about 7 to go to IOI Marriott. Met Mark and Peter at the coffee house, started playing about 7.50 am. Man it was a gruelling game, but I presevered. Ended the last hole with a double par. My best hole was a par 3 with the ball going in from my chip from the fringe. It was a good chip but it was my third shot and I still was not on the green.

After the game and lunch, I slept til evening trying to recover. Man, it's Monday evening, and I am still aching. But it's a good kind of ache and I will be visiting the driving range more often after this.

It wasn't a spectacular weekend, but it was good enough.

So see you on the courses or the spin side...
